Jichul Jang joined Kansas State University in 2013. Jang teaches lodging management theory, lodging management systems (revenue management), human resources management, and organizational behaviors in the hospitality industry. He has 5 years of hotel experiences, most recently as an income auditor, and a room sales manager. His current research interests include hospitality human resources management and service management.
Jang's work has focused on decreasing employee turnover while increasing employee engagement, integrating sustainability with hospitality management, enhancing emotional intelligence, and linking employee motivation to customer experiences in hospitality organizations through a variety of research methods such as big data analysis and social network analysis. He has published research articles in International Journal of Hospitality Management and International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.
