Great Plains IDEA is a partnership of public universities providing quality online educational opportunities in two areas, Human Sciences and Agriculture. Membership in Great Plains IDEA is a selective process that involves university leadership at all levels.
Each university contributes to Great Plains IDEA by:
- Recruiting, admitting, enrolling and graduating students
- Teaching in academic programs
- Developing curriculum
- Contributing to the leadership and direction of Great Plains IDEA
- Collaborating to deliver quality programs
Member universities are each accredited by one of 18 regional accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Accreditation indicates to students and university constituents that an institution or program meets specific levels of quality for higher education.
